Economic Activity

You need to comply to the transport regulation when you transport mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians or fish, in connection with an economic activity.

Economic activity is not defined in the transport regulation. The transport is in connection with economic activity if:

  • exchange of money, goods or services takes place in relation to the transport
  • the transport directly or indirectly involves or aims at a financial gain

Whether a transport is connected to an economic activity will be subject to an individual assessment.
