Veterinary Medicine degree obtained in a country other than Denmark, EU, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway

• Send an application. There is no need to motivate your application. Merely state that you are applying for an authorisation for veterinary surgeon. Do also write the physical address to where you want to receive the hard copy of your authorisation.
  
  
• Attach the following documents to your application. All documents must be either originals or certified copies* of the originals in the original language (*copies must be certified by an public authority, an embassy, a trade union or similar). Please also attach translations of this in Danish or English:
  
  • Proof of name, date of birth and nationality (preferably a copy of passport)
  • Contact information (Address, telephone and e-mail)
  • Diploma/certificate
  • Subjects passed (Transcript, marks sheet or similar list)
  • CV
  • Curriculum, syllabus/course description for all periods of your study program, admission requirements, litterature and exams description
  • Documentation for work experience as a veterinarian (fill out this form: Applicant’s information on post graduate and work experience as a veterinarian (veterinary surgeon)
  • Certificate of Good Professional Standing
  • Sign the Veterinary Oath

Processing time

The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration will make an assessment of your application and make a decision within three months of receipt of the application and all necessary documentation.
