Veterinary Medicine degree obtained in EU (or Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)

If you would like to applicate for an authorisation to work as a veterinarian in Denmark you must do the following:

  • Send an application (there is no need to motivate your application. Merely state that you are applying for an authorisation as veterinarian in Denmark. Do also write the physical address to where you want to receive the hard copy of your authorisation)

  • Attach the following documents to your application:
    • Proof of identity and nationality (copy of your valid EU identity card or passport)
    • Your diploma (copy of your diploma in the original language)
    • Certificate of good standing (The certificate must be issued by the competent authority in the country where you have obtained your diploma and/or in the countries where you have worked as a veterinarian. The certificate of good standing must be in English or Danish, must be valid and must be issued no more than 3 months before we receive it)
    • The veterinary oath (fill out the oath and sign it: download the veterinary oath)
    • Your CPR Number (only if you live in Denmark. You can find the number on your Health insurance card)
